Clothing/Accessories: Banana does his best to look and dress like a professional doctor. He wears a light blue dress shirt with a dark blue clip on tie tucked into a pair of dark blue dress pants with a light vertical stripe pattern and a black leather belt with a very simple brass buckle. The dress pants are rolled up once or twice at the bottom, and instead of shoes he simply wears a pair of worn out flip flops woven out of straw. Over this outfit he wears a pristine white lab coat with a stitching on the left side that reads "Dr. Banana" in black thread.
General Appearance: Banana very rarely enters his fully human form, but when he does he has a bit of a lanky or gangly stature. He has rather dark skin and wavy, thick, messy black hair that goes to just above his shoulders. His face is rather round and his eyes are a bit larger than average. He has rather long and pointy ears, a tiny little round nose, and lots of freckles. In his hyrbid form (which he is almost always in), he shares all the physical features of his species of bat. His whole body becomes covered in dark brown fur (though a much lighter brown around his eyes, nose, and mouth), his eyes and nose become even larger in proportion to his face, and his ears become biggers and floppier. The fur on his torso and thighs is more of a redder mahogany brown.
Personality: Banana is young and foolish to an extreme fault. Despite his more than adequate medical abilities and understanding of modern medicine, it's more than likely that his actual intelligence is below average. Because of this he frequently trusts the wrong people, is very gullible, and has little common sense. If not given proper directions, Banana is more than capable of royally screwing up a task if it is not either incredibly simple or involving medicine. Despite all of these shortcomings he is almost infinitely optimistic and positive, shrugging off all of his bad encounters with people with relative ease. All in all, his behavior is a bit child-like, though he does know how to be serious if he is told to be nicely.
Banana is one hundred percent a people person and absolutely loves to meet new and interesting people, which is usually what gets him in trouble. When witnessing someone in danger, he will usually immediately spring to their aid with his favorite phrase ("Banana to the rescue!") even if they are quite obviously a dangerous or nefarious type. If a person really is nice and easy going, Banana will go with pretty much anything they want to do, other work be darned.
Hometown: Lvneel, North Blue
History: Banana's actual origin is unknown, but as a very young infant he was dropped off on the doorstep of a young badger mink named Anna. Anna, only seventeen years old and the new inheritor of a small manor and a sizeable wealth in Lvneel, decided to take the child in and raise him as her own. It was very clear from the beginning that there was something rather odd about the child, as on occasion it would turn into a bat. After doing some research, she came to the conclusion that the child had somehow consumed a fruit of the devil, giving it the ability to transform into this bat form. Anna named her son Banana, as that was the only food she could reliably feed the child between his constantly shifting forms.
As Banana grew to the age of reason and grew used to his abilities, he decided that he wanted to be like his Momma all of the time – a human animal thingy. From that point on, the child pretty much always maintained his hybrid transformation to look like a mink. Because of his appearance most people in town just assumed he was the actual child of Anna and paid him no mind. Human kids, however, were not so nice. They took advantage of his clearly lower intelligence and made him do very stupid and humiliating things, which only got worse as he grew up. Around the age of ten, he was already known as pretty much the town idiot and his Momma decided that enough was enough. "You are smart, sweetheart, and someday you will be able to show everyone that." She pulled Banana out of school and began to homeschool him. The distant deceased relative she had inherited the manor from was clearly a doctor, as there were hundreds of pages of medical notes and whatnot lying around the various rooms of the house for years.
Over the next nine years, Banana was taught very diligently, patiently, and lovingly by his Momma on how to become the greatest doctor ever. Her hypothesis had been right; the kid, though not very bright in other regards, was incredibly talented at medicine. Finally, there came a day where there was simply nothing more to learn. His Momma had exhausted all of their notes, had taken everything out of the library. She had also become a proficient doctor in her own right by just teaching Banana and frequently attended medical conferences on other islands, sometimes even going all of the way to the Grand Line and leaving Banana alone for weeks at a time. Six months ago, however, she left on an "important mission" and never came back. Though generally made fun of by the townspeople, he had enough merit to set up shop and open a medical clinic simply waiting for the day his Momma would come back.
Combat: Banana is not very efficient at combat, though he has had to throw down a few times. He fights rather vicerally with frequent claw strikes, and isn't beneath going for groin kicks, biting, or just hitting the person with nearby objects.
