Brains and brawn

After taveling around leaving his island in west blue hitch hiking on a merchant ship as a body guard he arrived on the island. It was the snowy island of minion island, he quickly went around looking for a way to make money as soon as he hit land. After a bit he finally finds a job after hours of searching and is able to lift some boxes for money.

After that he heads out of town to begin his training, he started with killing some wolves hoping to sell there pelts for money and could use the meat for food. After a bit of time finishing his workout he decided to skin the wolves then take the pelts back to town. He figured it was a good time to go for some ale, so he quickly went to the local pub to get a drink.

It was rather dim and cold inside though the dim lighting was just part of the atmosphere. The walls were made of that old worn out type of wood. Hung up all over the walls was various animal heads, the bar top and bar stools seemed to be made out of the same old worn out wood.

"We're not paying ye!" a large woman with an eyepatch and a three-cornered hat yelled at Kuluja, as they were arguing in a corner of the bar.

"C'mon! I've patched you all up, you owe me at least something!" the Skyiean demanded.

"Nuh-uh. You didn't specify the amount, so the amount we choose is zero beli. Now get out of here." she replied. "Unless you're looking for a fight here, huh?"

Kuluja's lips pressed into each other. She had never really had to demand for money like this, she had always worked for free back home on the Sky Islands, and she had always gotten food for free too. Handling this whole deal of "work for money" was still very new to her, and she had gotten scammed by this pirate in front of her. The problem was, how could she get the money that he deserved for this. They hadn't agreed on any amount.

After a long day of work and training, having earned enough money finally axel was relaxing happily in the bar drinking his mug of ale. He was happy, its the simple pleasures that made this so nice. He kept sipping nonchalantly when he heard a ruckus in a corner of the bar. The massive man quickly drained his mug of ale and headed over to see whats going on. It turned out the seemingly puny strange winged person was having trouble getting the pirates to pay her for her work.

He wondered why she didn’t just get them to pay her upfront before doing any work? Though as he watched he sort of felt bad for her. It was none of his business afterall, but he felt like he couldn’t just let the small thing get scammed like this. He then went over to the pirate lady and said “ hey, you really should pay her, picking on the weak like this is what cowards do, “

He figured even if they were a weak third rate pirate crew it could be a opportunity to see how well he could do against them. If they were stronger then he realized though would be a good chance to test himself.
