    Spoiler:

    Background

    Personality:

She's a chipper girl, with a lot of curiosity. She's easygoing and open to new ideas, and loves novelty. Due to her prior constant life of discipline and routine, she still has a few remnants of habits from then, but she's slowly losing them, as she much prefer to live life how she herself chooses it. Through that, she's quite uninhibited and open about her own feelings.

    Hometown: Skypiea
    History:

She's been lied to her entire life.

Chosen at birth to become part of an isolationist cult of made-up gods, she had been brainwashed since a child to believe in these deities, and instructed in its various rituals and traditions. Through this, she learned how to "summon" the power of the gods, to cause various "supernatural" miracles to happen, as well as how to interpret the will of the gods (which was merely the will of the leaders of the cult). However, everything she learned was scientifically sound, just masqueraded as acts of the divine.

And so, once she had been fully trained in the ways of the cult and ready to become a full-fledged priestess, she performed on herself the appropriate week-long ritual of initiation, as she had been taught to do. It was an extensive self-surgery to install into herself the tools necessary to perform more impressive feats of science - Weathermancy devices. She survived the gruesome process, which was told to be a sign that she had been divinely chosen to be a rightful priestess for the cult.

After years of serving their religion, she started to have doubts about what she was doing. Innately curious, she could sniff out that something was amiss, plus, she was so curious about the world beyond Skypiea. The cult always kept to themselves in their own little area on the Sky Islands, and hated outsiders, they were very strict about that. But that just made her all the more curious about what there could be. After all, hadn't the gods themselves made the world so vast? Why shouldn't they be able to explore their works? She couldn't believe that something divinely made, such as the world, would be a "bad thing", because the gods themselves made it after all, no?

And it was that sort of thinking that got her to escape.

Carelessly, she escaped the town she had been locked in for so long, and went to run through the clouds, trying to get away as sneakily as she could. However, given that she knew so little about the outside (besides that she's been told that it's full of extremely dangerous people that she should never talk to), she fell through the clouds, unaware that some weren't solid, falling down to the sea below...

It's been a few months since that incident, and she has since recovered. Without much of an other way to live, she has been making due as being a "back alley" doctor of a sort for pirates, and hitching rides where she could to get around, and along the way, understanding more and more about how much she had been lied to, and what the reality of the world really is. Because nobody down here knew about their gods, when they were supposed to be the creators of everything, and most weren't dangerous at all like she had been told.

And now, she knows that there were never any of those gods all along. She has come to realize that they were just lies.
