Alone in a small group a young girl was assisting other marines in guarding important cargo for a nearby village. Apparently the area got roughed up by hostiles recently and these supplies are for reconstruction. Report wasn't really clear over what caused the destruction. Were it pirates, bandits, a monster? Inside her mind Elise scrapped the later already. If it was a monster surely the report would have said something about it. It most likely was some kind of humanoid raid. Pirates seemed most likely, but other kind of trouble was possible just the same.
The wagon mainly contained wood and stone, but also some iron. Clearly these were construction supplies. Yet, since the total value of the wagon would be worth quite a bit in money a small team of Marine's was assigned to guard it. Including the new girl who just transferred from the south blue. Alone, she knew nobody in this group. Even so, her job was clear and the people here needed help. Something here didn't sit well with her, why only such a small force if an entire village was sacked by assailants. If they were robbed, would their small group keep stand?
Still it wasn't that there was anything she could do about it. Right now Elise should watch the cargo and solve any trouble they'd come across.
