Billy and Monty

Fresh treaded onwards down the road that led to the marine base, trying to keep up with the marine named Billy. It was admittedly a rather arduous task as the petty officer had the advantage of being able to turn into a strong animal and just carry his own prize whilst Fresh was stuck dragging his two captures along like a regular boring and weak human being. This is turning out to be a rather good workout, he reassured himself in his head. In reality, he really wasn't up for doing this for too much longer. Even though he was noticeably breaking quite a sweat and even turning a little red, he decided to try to distract himself by thinking about other things.

He decided to focus on the road and his surroundings in an attempt to ground himself. The road they were currently on was rather foresty with wuite a few trees on each side of the road. It wasn't a full out forest, but it was way more trees than he had been used to on his own home island of Kyuka. They were different kinds of trees, too. Their leaves were much bushier and the trunks were a bit shorter and thicker, as opposed to the thin and tall palm trees of the resort island that had just a few branches. He hadn't really seen anything like it, but to these people it must have been completely normal. Fresh pondered what other floral oddities he would see in his adventures.

And then, before he knew it, the tall gray brick tower of this island had come into sight. Mind over matter had a bit of a foothold in reality, it seemed, as now that he was aware of the fact that they were finally here he really began to feel the strain of dragging two dudes for who knows how long. He piped up for the first time since they had left the restaurant. [color:d406=CC0000]"Do you mind going on ahead and letting them know we're here with bounties? I'll admit, I'm a bit exhausted." And now, having vocalized it, his energy was almost completely exhausted. He brought them as far as he could – the front courtyard of the marine base – before he finally had to drop them and weakly wave Billy onwards whilst he plopped onto the ground, sweat piling up around him.

Billy may have been in raptor form but it was still a very arduous task to carry the man. Because of this billy was going at a rather mild pace. Though it isn’t like he had a choice, he had to be able to do this so he could lock up a dangerous criminal. He thought to himself as he moved foward if he cant get one pirate to a marine base how can he be a unsupervised marine?

What if he needed to do this again in the future? Besides it was only one person his companion fresh was dragging two so that had to he harder right? He just had to keep moving along, so he did, eventually they reached the marine base. When they finally did fresh asked Him to go announce there presence billy smiled and said “ ok wait here with the bounties” he then slid the lobster off his back onto the ground next to then others.

After that he trudged up to the marine base clearly very tired himself and changed back to human form. After that he knocked on the door, once he saw the door open he saluted them and announced his name and rank. He then told them a bounty hunter is here with bounties and they were here to collect. The marines then nodded and picked up the pirates and ushered the two of them inside.

Fresh was rather relieved as several marines exited the base and picked up the unconscious pirates, hopefully in order to bring them inside and lock them up. One of the navy men ushered Fresh inside and he slowly followed. If the interior of the base was different from any other base, he couldn't really tell. Perhaps if he had more energy he could have been more perceptive about it, but all in all it didn't particularly matter.

The marines let him have a seat as they filled out some paperwork. Billy was more or less giving him credit for the whole thing, but Fresh decided that he deserved just as much recognition for the task having been completed. If either of them had tried to take those three on by their lonesome, it would have been a different story. It was entirely a team effort. "Make sure you make a note in your report that the officer there--" he stopped and pointed at Billy – "Is also given credit for this task. It was both of us that took those three down." Fresh didn't really care if it meant that he got less credit, it was just fair.

Once the paperwork was filled out and a money reward was received, Fresh had no more need to stick around. The officer that filled out paperwork with him was nice enough to offer him some tea and he was given permission to rest in the marine rec room for a little bit, which was a nice gesture. Red Lobster hadn't been worth any amount of money worth mentioning, but a reward was a reward. It was his first paycheck as a bounty hunter, and that was good enough for him. Before Billy had left, of course, Fresh had made sure to say a parting word to Billy and thank him for his help. Soon after he was on his own way.

Interesting storyline. However, there are some points which I want to address. One, we as PCs have to take into consideration our 'level' in terms of stats. The way the captain was taken down so facilely took out most of the fun while I was reading it. I feel his crew members gave more of an interesting fight than the captain himself. Moreless making a judgment on Red Lobster's bounty based on his combat capabilities I'd he has a bounty of 3,000.He was too fragile for a captain.
